What Does Physical Security Auditing Involve?

Very similar to a penetration test, we will asses your corporate office or warehouse’s security in its entirety.

Physical security auditing is different for every business. Our executive team take an extremely hands on approach to gauge the scope of every individual organisation.

A typical security audit would consider the following:

• Layout – Are there places where intruders can hide? Is the area well-light? Does the external environment create hiding places?
• Number and Location of Access Points – How many ways can people get in and out of the building? Are security measures used at access points? Are access points well lit? Are access points close to hiding places?
• Security Officers – Are security officers used? If so, are they used properly e.g. do they routinely patrol? If they are not used, would they be useful?
• Physical security Technology – What credentials are required to enter an area? Are these used properly? How are visitors managed? What happens to past employee’s keys? How often are PINs and security codes changed? Is CCTV used? Does CCTV work during night-time and day-time? Are there any gaps in CCTV coverage? Are these gaps important? Are CCTVs monitored? Is there any technology or physical security elements that would enhance the security?
